What's New at the Council

1. Artist Opportunity: Public Art

Clovis' city officials want doors for art projects and are asking local artists to build projects using doors for public display. Deadline is June 15th.

2. Artist Registry for Public Art

FAC is developing an artist registry for future Public Art projects with the Fresno County. Download a registration form to be part of the registry.

1. Mullins Studio Gallery presenting

PHYLLIS McADAMS

Phyllis is best known for her use of the Trompe l'Oeil technique, a French term meaning "to fool the eye". Meet Phyllis in the Opening Reception during ArtHop at the Mullins Studio Gallery.

2. Urban Home Furnishings presenting

LARRY HILL

Well-known Fresno artist Larry Hill’s last major show filled both galleries at the Fresno Art Museum and was the largest attended show at that time. Now, approximately 20 years later, Hill, who has recently returned to painting, will exhibit more than 25 new paintings at a Meet The Artist reception during Art Hop.

Aithon Theatre Company presents "Neil Simon's "Laughter on the 23rd Floor". This comedy (adapted by Simon from his play) takes a fictionalized look at the backstage chaos that went into producing one of the landmarks of television's golden age.

The premier performance of Patrick Contreras' new band and show "American Gypsy". This event will take place at Arte Americas on Friday June 22 at 8 pm.
